Read, Run, Ramble

I'm just a girl on a mission - a mission to read many books, run (walk) many miles and ramble about it all!

Who I Follow

Well, I’ve got my first book lined up (aka already started, of course) and I just signed up for the I <3 to Run - 2012 Running Challenge. I do think every day is a stretch, but aren’t big goals kinda supposed to be a “stretch”!? I want to be more consistent with my walking/jogging/exercise in general and this is one way to get that started.

Hard and fast resolutions make me feel far too defeated when I misstep and they are so “long” due to the fact that it is for a whole year that I lose interest. SO, I’m not setting any. My goals are as follows: first and foremost - BE HAPPY. 2011 was a rough year for me - especially rough. Things haven’t completely been rectified, but I want 2012 to be a happy, memorable year regardless of what events or issues take place. Secondly - the consistency thing. I want to be more consistent with both my fitness and also my eating habits. 2011 was very sporadic - most of my exercise and good eating choices took place in the weeks leading up to a race. After the race, generally, all of that went to Hell in a hand basket!

I’ll have some specific, short-term, measurable goals along the way, but those are the two big things I want to focus on for the year.

*Oh and that book - the first one that will be read and logged for the year; it is Black Dagger Brotherhood #1 - Dark Lover by J.R. Ward.
