Read, Run, Ramble

I'm just a girl on a mission - a mission to read many books, run (walk) many miles and ramble about it all!

Who I Follow

Well, day 15 is a Sunday and rest is the furthest thing from the plan. I’ve already put in 3.3 miles while watching an episode of Vampire Diaries (ep. 8; season 1) - INTENSE. Love Lexi…love Bonnie!

I’ve almost finished The Great Gatsby and while I don’t remember much, if any of it, from my HS read of it, I do remember that I enjoyed it back then and I LOVE it now. Fitzgerald has such a way of writing a scene - you feel it; you see it; you smell it; you flat out get into it! I hoped to finish it last night, but with one chapter (yes…just ONE) left I started falling asleep while reading (it was 2am after all).

Still chugging away on 11/22/63 by King - LOVE him too. Very descriptive and while sometimes it can feel “bogged” down, it mostly creates utterly amazing stories that one can just immerse in - this one is no exception. The only reason it is taking me so long (I started sometime in December) is because I’m not reading it for any groups or discussions so I have to keep breaking from it to read books I am doing for groups and discussions!

The third book I’m focusing on right now is Extremely Close & Incredibly Loud. I’ve read one chapter and I’m captivated by Oskar and his voice. By his attitude and his personality - I think I’ll love this book!

Now…I’m off to take DD to the mall with some friends (UGH). Back later to read, read, read (and maybe even sneak in some more miles - sweet)!
