Wuthering Heights
bookworm & tea junkie (by static_pulse00)
Happy Birthday to… my blog! One year ago today, I started this project when faced with a long, lonesome summer with no job, no friends, and no way...
That was today - the opposite of good, and here’s why:
1. I was freaking tired when my alarm went off (nothing new - I do not sleep well)
2. The day was cold and grey (these days are good for nothing unless you are able to curl up at home, in a blanket, with a book and a cup of tea)
3. Work was ridiculous and chaotic (several days in a row now - one task to the next with nothing getting completed in full before forced to move on)
4. Rough time with the teenager (long story, but we have normal teen issues and also some not-so-normal teen issues with our son…it is draining)
5. In the midst of the work craziness I decided that Pei Wei for lunch was a good idea (not the worst place I could have eaten, but still not roasted veggies either)
6. As an encore presentation I stuffed myself with Chipotle for dinner
7. Skipped exercise - so bummed and angry and frustrated that I don’t even care about it tonight, but I know (KNOW) that tomorrow I will be irritated with myself
8. I didn’t get to read a single sentence today - nothing, nada, zip, ZERO
I think I’ll stop there since it is very clear why this is the opposite of good (I think it is quite a feat that I’m saying “opposite of good” instead of piss poor or something much worse)! Now that I’ve purged that - tomorrow is another day and it will be better
Cheers Tumblrs - I hope you’ve had a day that exceeded this one in fabulousness :o)
